User reviews
CBS 67203 MONO - Record 1 has Side 1 & Side 4 on it, with record 2 sides 2/3.I do not know if that was standard or error.
'Hi-Fi' and Stereo turntables of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s usually had a tall spindle with an automated release mechanism that allowed the stacking of several LPs. The records would drop one at a time. After a record had played through, the tonearm would return to its starting position, another record would drop, the tonearm would return to its 'track one' position and resume play. This is why many anthologies and other multi - record sets were numbered that way. When the record with sides 1&4 was placed on the spindle with side 1 up and the record with 2&3 was placed on top of it with side 2 up, sides 1 and 2 would play in order. After play, inverting the 'stack' would allow 3, then 4 to play in order.
